History of Idlewild POA

Idlewild is a restricted community with governing documents providing for its maintenance, preservation, and architectural control.

The Board's philosophy is to encourage community involvement and pride in our subdivision. Although it intends to maintain compliance with the Covenants , Conditions, and Restrictions, its policy is to overlook minor infractions that are not objectionable to most residents, and not to intervene in problems that are essentially issues between neighbors.

The subdivision has 136 lots, a community pool, and some 6 acres of common areas. Idlewild has two contiguous subdivisions, Jackson Place and Natures Trail. Neither subdivision is part of the Idlewild POA.

Idlewild Property Owners Association was incorporated in 1996 by the ABK Development, L.L.C., who held options to develop the Klumpp family's pecan orchard as an innovative subdivision (PUD). ABK have since dissolved their partnership. The POA was governed by the developers and managed by Monarch Properties. In August 2006 a new governing Board, elected from Idlewild residents, was installed and, in September 2006, took over management of the Association.
